Duno Dun K Now you see the trouble.

Just about a month ago, one of my colleague asking me about car loan. She would like to know what is the process involve in order to get a loan for a car. So, she seems going to get herself a car which is good since all the while she was riding on motorbike to work.
So, I tried to explain a bit more of what I remember when I get my car loan and some of the documents needed.
Somehow, I asked her what kind of car she would wanted to buy. She said that she has already paid some deposit for a used car she would going to buy and now trying to get loan for the car. Then I asked her how was the car, what color is it?
Colleague: I don't know, I never saw the car before.
Me: So, did you know the seller?.
Colleague: Umm, I only contact him through phone a few times. It was through my friend recommendation one.
Me: Woah, like that also can ah! If later you get a kereta buruk also you wanna accept ar?
Colleague: That's my problem now. I wanna test drive the car but the seller give me all sort of excuse everytime I contact him.
Me: You never see the car sumore you pay him deposit? you really so very generous huh? Next time buy from me la.
Colleague: .... (duno wat to say anymore)

I don't know why but probably this colleague of mine was getting to excited of going to own her own car so she doesn't bother about anything else. She might probably lose the hard earned deposit money and even with the loan she was going to get if anything seriously went wrong.
Luckily, she got the car.

Today, another colleague approached me sayng that she has some serious problem which made her unable to sleep the whole night. It was also about purchasing a used car.
This colleague of mine had just bought the car and got everything done including the loan. So, whats the problem?

Colleague: Yesterday I received a letter from the bank about my loan agreement. It seems that the amount of money was way a lot from what I was told. I only borrow 12k and I need to pay back more than 19k.
Me: Didn't the bank officer explained to you about the loan thing when you sign the agreement? Afterall, you need to pay lots of interest for the loan for a used car.
Colleague: He didn't explain many things. He only gave me a empty form and ask me to sign it.
Me: What! You just sign the empty form and you don't even understand much about the purchase?

Things doesn't seems to sound right but I don't really know every details about the deal. She hand me the letter from the bank. It is a letter about the hire purchase she made for the purchase of the car. Nothing seems incorrect until...

Me: 99' proton iswara 1.3 for RM13,300. Thats a rip off man! My Wira Aeroback 1.3 also cannot sell that expensive ar.
Colleague: How would I know about that? I don't know it was that expensive one la.
Me: Didn't you survey?
Colleague: I didn't ask about the price.
Me: WTF! You bought a car and you don't even know what was the price??? I thought you got test drive the car?
Colleague: The broker got drive me on the car. I just seat beside.
Me: Why didn't you ask. You buy kacang putih at the Aney store also you would ask and bargain price what, how come you buy car also you duno it's price? And you don't even bother to ask the bank officer about the loan thing.
Colleague: I'm lazy to ask so many thing la. I though everything is just okay.
Me: Oh great, you are the greatest ever my friend.
I raised my hand giving her a nice salute.

I don't know, but I feel like want to give her a nice wallup and make her concious from the mistakes. But she was just a victim, a victim of herself.
Don't know, don't care and don't even bother to ask, now she pay the price by the legal agreement.
Since the agreement has been signed, nothing much I could do. I just told her to get back to the bank officer and ask for explanation for the loan agreement. It is important to understand instead of complaining. If she is lucky, maybe could work out something to improve it otherwise she will have to pay RM209 every month for the next 7 years!

You see, there are still a lot of innocent people out there which could be easily cheated. Many whom are not well educated and doing things in hurry without much consideration. Even thing would sometimes seems not in correct order, they still proceed and hoping that nothing would goes wrong. Some may got off lucky while some may got into problems.
It is always wise to deal thing carefully especially about money.
