Kaneh! but Beautiful?

It was one nice afternoon and everybbody is busy at the working desk. I was called upon my colleague to verify some problem. She was an Indian girl and everyone call her Kanes.

Me: Hi Kanes, whats the problem here?
Kanes: There is some component here which need you to verify. There is some dent mark on its cover and I would like you to see if it is still acceptable.

Before I could ask here where she kept those component, she was walking away to the supervisor's table.

Me: Kanes! Kanes! Where did you put the components?
-I raised up my voice to her.
Kanes: There, inside the black plastic container on the table.
-Just a couple of minutes later, she return with her supervisor. The supervisor was also an Indian girl which taking care of the department.

Me: Kanes Kanes, I see there is just some minor dents and it is still acceptable.
Supervisor: Hey, you can call her Kaneh! You know, Kaneh in tamil means beautiful, isn't it Kanes?
-As the supervisor looking at Kanes, I almost can't hold my laugh considering the terms Kaneh in Hokkien.

Me: Kaneh oh Kaneh, you are so beautiful la, really really kaneh!
-I was like laughing when I said that, gosh am I so cruel or what, I'm asking myself.
Supervisor: Hehehe, you see, she was so happy already la when you call her kaneh!
-Kanes was just smilling and stood there for a moment.

Me: OK lah, I have some other thing to do there, see ya later ok, you both Kaneh!
-So I just leave the place and both of them smilling at me. Deep down in my heart, I hope they never know what Kaneh in Chinese tho lol.

As I walk towards my work desk, I stumble upon a technician. His name is Siva and wel, you know Siva was an Indian too.

Siva: Hey did you see my plier on the table ar?
Me: Nolah, I never seen any plier la. Wa, Siva ar, you so Kaneh today with your red shirt la hehehe.
Siva: Fark you la, what Kaneh you said!
Me: Nolah, just now the supervisor told me Kaneh mean beautiful ma, not correct meh?
Siva: Oh, if it an Indian telling me that then I know what it suppose to mean but if you start Kaneh-ing, I'm going to Kaneh you back like nobody kaneh you before la.
Me: Niasing, you are so bias la you racist, hahaha.
Siva: Hahaha.... now where the hell is my plier gone, Kaneh!

So, there he left.
Well, Kaneh may be beautiful for somebody. But that doesn't mean that you can Kaneh everyone as you like.
