Mobile Spam

I have been receiving numerous spam message or I shall say scam message on my cell phone every here and then. SMS Fraud is becoming another annoying issue to all cell phone user.

Cell phone spam has increasingly becoming another annoying problem to all hand phone user. I just received another spam message on my hand phone a while ago.

The text message spam read as this;
Easy Motorbike Scheme! Instant approval, Blacklisted also can, no deposit, no guarantor!

Yeah, this is bolehland where everything deemed boleh, including borrowing money when you are even blacklisted or bankrupt! These sort of sms fraud is no longer a new thing, it has existed for quite some times but it seems that the trend is keep going up. More and more mobile spam and scam were sent out everyday and there will be a few innocent victims who fall prey.

A couple of days ago, I received a forwarded mail about a new sms scam appeared. The story goes like this;
It's about a person who received an SMS from an unknown number with the message;
Hi there, how are you?
That person thought it must be from an old friend so he just reply to the message. Without suspecting anything, he has got 10 bucks charged to his mobile phone account!

melvinfoong: it does make sense, look at those ring tones operators nowdays, you just send them an sms and they will send over the ringtone to you PLUS deducting your money.

same thing apply to this case, the person did a reaction by replying to the sms.
