Ugly Mee Rebus

I was on my way to Chemor in the evening but my tummy start to grrrr... So I stop by Tasek to have this mee rebus which I think, ugly.

You know, food could be serve in many many style. There's yummilicious style, cool style, tempting style, common style and some would also appear in an ugly style. Today, I'm gonna talk about this Mee Rebus which really broke my appetite. It's not really my intention to put it into the ugly category but, I still doesn't like the way it appear at the first place.

That evening, I was on my way to Chemor. Haven't got anything into my stomach since the little piece of bread in the afternoon, my stomach is grrrr-ling giving me a stern warning to fill up or else.

So, I stop by Tasek onto this mamak restaurant to get something to eat. People say, when you are hungry, anything edible would be good. Well, perhaps it is only correct up to an extent.
I would agree more on, don't disturb hungry people!

Okay, as what you may expect, I ordered a Mee Rebus. Yeah, just a common food which can be found on most if not all Mamak Restaurant.

And here is their style of Mee Rebus. Yeah, it is a TRUE 100% MEE + REBUS. Do I see anything else? Of course, those Mee Rebus gravy, I notice the cooks did a very good thing by dropping that tiny little drop of duno-wat-sauce exactly in the center of the noodle. No misalignment!

Well, never did I see anyone present their dish in such a way. You may call it plain but there's only one word that I could describe it. UGLY! Even after so many days, I still feel that it is UGLY! Can't help it, my heart say so.

Supposely, I expected to see some boiled eggs, potatoes, fritters and so on as what everyone else would see on a plate of Mee Rebus. But why I don't see anything here? Not even the cut of lime which is my must-have when having mee rebus or mee goreng at mamak stall!

So, I start to do some digging in the hope to find those lost treasures beneath the ugly looking Mee Rebus. And yeah, they really hide all those precious eggs, potatoes and fritters underneath the lump of noodle. One word to describe it... AMPLE!

under the ugly mee rebus

Yeah, it has ample amount of mee, ample amount of fritters, eggs and potatoes hide underneath. Isn't so bad afterall after experiencing the awkward appearance at first. The taste of this Mee Rebus is just so so lah.
I comparing with the Ramli Mee Rebus which is just opposite the main road, this one is losing up a few steps away. Considering you have only about half price of what Ramli charge.

The whole thing (Mee Rebus plus a glass of cold rose syrup) cost only RM3.50 which is relatively cheap. If you do not mind the ugly looking of the Mee Rebus, you may want to come over and try it yourself.
