Wan Ton Mee SPPK

Da best Wan Ton Mee in Ipoh can be found in Taman SPPK

Where do you find the best Wan Ton Mee in Ipoh?
Doesn't matter whether you agree or not but I found this Wan Ton Mee at SPPK market was Da' Best !

It is located in the market at Taman SPPK where the Thursday Pasar Malam was.

wan ton mee stall at tmn SPPK market
Its a family business. This uncle was the chef making the delicious Wan Ton Mee while his wife helping next to him. Also, the children would be making Wan Ton on a table next to the stall.

Maybe I could consider his loyal customer. I get to know this Wan Ton Mee stall ever since it was operating at the road side of Jalan Pasir Putih on the entrance to Taman Boon Bak. The market was located there back then before it shift to the current location.

yummy wan ton mee
Yummy. The Char Siew is one of a kind I'telya, unlike most other Wan Ton Mee who buy Char Siew from market. This one is made by their own secret recipe. If you come late, you may not even get a taste of it's Char Siew anymore.

I always like to enjoy this Wan Ton Mee with a glass of Soya Bean. You know, you can order a small glass of Soya Bean for only 40 cent ! Believe it, Empat Kupang saja !
And the Wan Ton Mee with Char Siew cost RM3.00 only. God, am I like Ipoh !

If you like Wan Ton Mee, take my words for it. Come to this stall and you know what is Tasting is Believing. lol

like wan ton mee very much. Years ago when I was a vege. I dreamed of wan ton mee in front of me with soup wan ton. When I grabbed my chopsticks, i realised I was a vege. I decided to eat the mee and not the wan ton. Then, my dream was gone. Ha! Sure to get to SPPK look for a pak wan ton one day... Thanks, chai chai. :))

Taman SPPK is located near Shatin Park. If you drive along Jalan Pasir Putih from town towards Pengkalan, you should notice a Police station on your right. Keep driving straight till you reach the second traffic light (there is a Oldtown Kopitiam on you right about 100m before the traffic light).
Turn left at the traffic light, the market is on your right not far away from the traffic light.

Go try Chee Kay wan tan mee (he is the 3rd generation selling this). His stall is in a corner coffee shop directly opposite Loh Wong Nga Choy Kai. Close on Sundays and sold out by 11:30am (maybe...)

There's another good one nearby (sorry I forgot the name of the shop). It's located in Taman Aman, Pengkalan. Go pass Pengkalan Emas Mall, right after Mobil Petrol station turn left. Immediately on your right, you can see a row of shops with a new yellow corner coffee shop. The wantan mee stall is in the one at the other end corner of the new yellow coffee shop. It's facing some single storey terrace houses and looks quite old. There are only two stalls there - one wantan mee and the other is selling mee with "liew". The wantan mee stall is operated by two brothers together with their mom. The wantan mee is really good and cheap. I ate a charsiew wantan mee with a bowl of wantan and 3 shui kau. Guess how much I paid? RM3.80!! Very Cheap, right? Hope you can get there and try it.
